In recent months, the Registry Agency has reported a heavy workload, resulting in registration delays of more than a month. The main cause is the enormous number of applications to convert company capital into euros, which is overwhelming registration capacity.
These delays affect all types of entries: changes to company particulars, incorporation of new companies, registration of managers, reorganisations, deregistrations and other everyday business matters. For many companies, this creates practical difficulties: delayed transactions, stalled procedures and an inability to meet contractual obligations and administrative deadlines on time.
The Registry Agency has announced temporary measures to increase capacity, including hiring additional staff, but the delays continue to have a significant impact on businesses.
What does this mean for your company?
- Registrations may be delayed by more than 30 days.
- Reorganisations and changes of ownership or management take longer.
- Transactions requiring prior registration may be postponed.
- Some administrative deadlines become difficult to meet.
